Mission Statement
Saint Joan of Arc Parish’s Religious Education programs endeavor to establish within its participants a sense of Christian identity based on the Roman Catholic Tradition.  The program exists not to replace the God-given influence and responsibility that parents have to raise their child in light of Gospel values, but exists to accentuate the parents’ influence and aid them in this task.

Admission Policy
Anyone desiring to participate in the St. Joan of Arc Parish’s Religious Education Program is able to do so.  The program does not discriminate by race, nationality or faith.  We model all admissions in light of Gospel values and in Christian openness.
Anyone new to the St. Joan of Arc Religious Education Program must register in the program by contacting the Religious Education Office. (330-477-6796)
All families registered in the St. Joan of Arc Religious Education Program must be registered in the parish or have the permission in writing of your parish's Pastor to receive Sacrements here at St. Joan of Arc Parish.

Parish Registration for New Families are taken on the 4th Sunday of each month (except July and December) in the Church Meeting Room after the 8:00 and 10:30 am Masses.  If you cannot make it to one of these registration sessions, please call the Parish Center at 330-477-6796 and we will schedule a time convenient for Your Family.

Weather Alerts
St. Joan of Arc Parish’s Religious Education Department follows the following procedures in case of bad weather: www.wkyc.com
Monday classes: if Perry Local Schools are canceled on Monday, our CCD classes are canceled.
If the weather turns bad between 3:00pm and 5:00pm refer to I-Alert channels.
If you don't feel safe driving STAY HOME.
Sunday Classes:  Refer to I-Alert channels.
Again, if you feel it is too bad to drive, STAY HOME. You and your family’s safety are far more important to us.

Discipline Policy
If the Volunteer Catechist feels a student’s behavior is not appropriate for the class, the student will be asked to report to the CCD Principal.
If the student is sent to the office more than once, a discipline form will be filled out and the student's parents will be contacted to resolve the situation. If this happens again the Coordinator of Religious Education, CCD Principal, Parents and/or Pastor will meet to come to a resolution to the problem.
The St. Joan of Arc Religious Education department reserves the right to dismiss a student from the Religious Education program if it is felt by the Coordinator of Religious Education, the Pastor and the CCD Principal that this step is necessary to preserve the integrity of the remainder of the program. The Parent/Guardian will have the full support of the Religious Education Department as the Parent/ Guardian continues the catechesis of the child.
